John Goheen is the Liberal candidate for Northumberland Peterborough South. He is a devoted husband, father and lifelong educator who has deep roots in our community.

John has spent his entire professional career in education as a Teacher, Vice Principal, and Principal at many schools across the riding. He currently leads Hillcrest Public School in Campbellford. This work has taught John the value and importance of partnerships and taking care of each other. John believes that when we can come together and work towards a common goal, we can find ways to make great things happen.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours from Trent University, a Bachelor of Education with distinction from Western University and a Masters of Education from The University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

Proudly raised in an agricultural family, John is a strong advocate for rural communities. He and his wife Dani have spent most of their lives living and working in the riding of Northumberland Peterborough South, where they are raising their three boys Maxx, Knox and Pax. He understands the issues that families in our community are facing and is ready to work hard to make sure everyone can experience all the opportunities life has to offer.
